Hello, everyone! Another day, another tag! Thanks again, Donna @ Chocolatenwaffles Blog for tagging me in this! Happy to be a bookaholic with you! 😉 And these questions were pretty fun to answer!
What do you like about buying new books?
I’m not much of a book buyer, but when I do buy books, it’s because I’m anticipating that it’ll be really good and I cannot wait for the library to get it to me! So, I guess the fact that it’s mine with the possibility of running home to read immediately is what I like about buying books. That doesn’t always happen, though… 😉
How often do you buy new books?
Not that often. Unless the book is the end of a series or just something I really, really want and it’s 2.99 on Amazon Kindle, I rarely go out of my way to buy books… I’m more of a library person! 😀
Bookstore or online shopping: which do you prefer?
I guess I prefer bookstore shopping compared to online since I get to have the book immediately…
Do you have a favourite bookshop?
I really like Mabel’s Fables, a bookstore that focuses on children’s and YA fiction. The people there are really friendly and will help out with any recommendations you need. Plus it has a lot of swag, and besides being a book nerd, I also have a button obsession!
Do you pre-order books?
Not really. I like getting the book as soon as possible and sometimes that doesn’t happen with pre-orders coming a few days after the publication date…
Do you have a monthly book buying budget?
Since I don’t buy books that often, I don’t necessarily have to worry over a budget. However, if I happen to buy a book that was around $22 dollars, I tend not to buy another book so soon…
Book buying bans: are they something for you?
Again, I don’t really buy books that often, so I don’t have to force myself not to buy them.
How big is your wishlist?
Um…. every book that I’ve ever wanted to read? 😉
Which three books from your wishlist do you wish to own now?
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, Something in Between by Melissa de la Cruz, and One Summer with Autumn by Julia Reece!

Haha! I agree with you, I’m not a very big book buyer, I use the library more than I actually buy books. It’s just easier that way. I get to read what I want without worrying about breaking the bank or worrying about space to put them. Plus I’m not a very big re-reader of books so to me there is no point in owning the book if I’m not going to re-read it.

Exactly! There are only a few books that I have reread, and that’s only due to the limited amount of books I had access to at the time… 😉 It’s nice to hear that there are people who like books, but don’t reread them as much! 😀

I’m always jealous of those who have access to good libraries. My locals don’t tend to stock what I want to read. I wish that some of the big overseas libraries would allow electronic access to anyone. Great tag!

That sucks! They should really work on that. Maybe have a huge overdrive app that could connect to several countries? And thank you!

Hi Sue! Hahaha I particularly enjoyed reading this post because I’m a big big big library user too!
I remember buying a book that I hadn’t read before, reading it, and really hating it. I felt like I had wasted the money and it wasn’t worth it! And now I hardly ever buy books too, and if I do, it’s because I’ve read it and I really like it.

Yay! A fellow library user! I’m glad you enjoyed reading this post, btw! And that sounds horrible! I’ve only had that happen to me once, and so far, I’ve never read that author’s work again… The good news is you get to save money, though! 😉
