Down the TBR Hole

Down the TBR Hole 5

Hello again! It’s time for another round of Down the TBR Hole, which is hosted by Lia @ Lost in a Story! This meme is dedicated to uncluttering your TBR pile, going through each book and choosing which one should stay or go. So… let’s get this started!

The books:

1. The Crown of Embers by Rae Carson

the-crown-of-embers.jpg

I really want to continue this series! I remember reading the first book and just loving it! I just never got around to continuing the series… But I’m definitely keeping this book on my shelf for the future! 😉

The verdict: Keep

2. A Thousand Nights by E.K. Johnston

a-thousand-nights.jpg

I don’t think I’m going read this book anytime soon, mainly because I got my 1001 Nights fix from The Wrath and the Dawn… 😉

The verdict: Go

3. Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson

walk-on-earth.jpg

I mainly added this book to my TBR pile because it’s by Rae Carson. However, since I haven’t read The Crown of Embers yet, I’m going to hold off reading this book, at least until I finish the author’s previous series (whenever that’ll be… 😀 )

The verdict: Go

4. Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill

meant-to-be.jpg

This one is definitely going… I’ve already read two books by the author and didn’t really like them, so I’m going to take a break from her books until I’m in the mood for them…

The verdict: Go

5. The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima

the-exiled-queen.jpg

I liked the first book a lot! It was just so long that I really wanted to read other books before going back to it. But I will eventually!

The verdict: Keep

Well, that’s it for this week’s Down the TBR Hole! Any of these books on your TBR pile or have you already read them?By the way, I’d love to hear any thoughts you have about any of the books in this week’s post! Have a nice day! 🙂

Down the TBR Hole 4

Hey there, fellow readers! It’s time for Down the TBR Pile post, hosted by Lia @ Lost in a Story. This meme is dedicated to uncluttering your TBR pile, going through each book and choosing which one should stay or go. Now, without further ado, I give you … this week’s titles:

1. Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder

touch-of-power

After rereading the synopsis, I still want to read this book. Maybe I should make it a priority so it won’t fall behind all the other books I want to read… Either way, I’m keeping this!

The verdict: Keep

2. Bookishly Ever After by Isabel Bandeira

bookishly.jpg

I remember when I first of this and really wanted to read it because it had to do with book nerds. But now, I’m not as interested in it as I was before…

The verdict: Go

3. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

the-darkest-minds.jpg

This one’s a keep, but a big reason behind that is because I already own the book… 😀 So I’m definitely going to read it sometime in the future…

The verdict: Keep

4. Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

wicked.jpg

Before, I would have been excited about this book and want to read it in a heartbeat, especially because of the author. However, after reading a couple of books by her that fell flat, I’m just going to stay away from it for now…

The verdict: Go

5. Strange Fate by L.J. Smith

3326897

Oh, this one is definitely going, mainly because I have given up waiting for this book to come out. I just realized that it was still on my Goodreads TBR pile. Well, not anymore! 😉

The verdict: Go

Well, that’s a wrap for this week’s Down the TBR Pile! Were there any books here that you’ve come across? If so, did you find them interesting, once upon a time, as well? If you have any thoughts about this week’s Down the TBR Hole, I’d love to hear about them in the Comments Section below. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Down the TBR Hole 3

Hi, everybody! Welcome back to another Down the TBR Pile post, hosted by Lia @ Lost in a Story. This meme is dedicated to uncluttering your TBR pile, going through each book and choosing which one should stay or go. So far, it’s actually been a really great way to sort through my TBR pile! Anyways, I’ll just cut to the chase and introduce this week’s titles! 😉

The books:

1.  Missing You (1-800-Where-Are-You) by Meg Cabot

missing-you.jpg

OMG! I cannot take this book off my TBR ever! Unless I read it, that is… I’ve always loved Meg Cabot’s books and Jess has got to be one of my favourite protagonists that she has written. I’ll try to get back into this series, even if I have to reread it again! 😀

The verdict: Keep

2. Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi

furthermore.jpg

In this case, I’m not sure… Honestly, I just put it on my TBR because it’s Tahereh Mafi, and I loved read the Shatter Me trilogy. I did read a sneak peek of the book, which made it intriguing, so maybe I’ll just keep it for now!

The verdict: Keep

3. Cashmere by Temple West

cashmere.jpg

This one’s definitely a go! It’s been a long time since I read the first book, which I wasn’t too invested in, excluding the last part…

The verdict: Go

4. Famous in Love by Rebecca Serle

famous-in-love.jpg

From what I can tell, this book is right up my alley with the whole girl-becomes-a-star angle! I’m definitely keeping this! Hopefully I can read this before the adaptation on Freeform…

The verdict: Keep

5. A Mad Zombie Party by Gena Showalter

a-mad-zombie-party

I remember really wanting to read this, especially after the conclusion of Queen of the Zombie Hearts. But now, I’m okay with letting that be the conclusion of the whole series, instead of rehashing that ending…

The verdict: Go

Well, that’s it for this week’s Down the TBR Pile! Are any of these books on your TBR pile as well? And if so, are you still interested in them? By the way, any thoughts about this week’s Down the TBR Pile are welcome in the Comments Section below. Have a nice day, everyone! 🙂

Down the TBR Hole 2

Hey there, wonderful readers! I’m back for a second time round with the meme, Down the TBR pile, hosted by Lia @ Lost in a Story. This meme is dedicated to uncluttering your TBR pile, going through each book and choosing which one should stay or go. So, without further ado, here are the books I’m considering this week!

The books:

1.  The Royal We by Heather Cocks

the-royal-we.jpg

I actually read a sneak peek of the novel way back when and didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. I just forgot to take this book off my TBR pile right after that…

The verdict: Go

2. Under the Lights by Dahlia Adler

under-the-lights.jpg

Even though I didn’t really like the first book, I’m willing to give the second book a try That’s because the secondary characters that I loved in the first book are going to be the protagonists of this one! Now, if only I could just get around to reading it…

The verdict: Keep

3. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

the-kiss-of-deception.jpg

I actually borrowed the book from the library several times without having even read it. I don’t think I will at this point…

The verdict: Go

4. Crave by Melissa Darnell

crave

I remember putting this on my TBR at a time that I really liked this sort of thing. Now, I’m not really into the whole star-crossed lovers trope.

The verdict: Go

5. Dark Mirror M.J. Putney

dark-mirror.jpg

Every time I think about removing this book from my TBR, I read the synopsis, reminding me why I want to read it and makes me unable to let it go! And this time is no exception! 😀 It just has this Shadow Falls vibe that I really like.

The verdict: Keep

Well, that’s it for this week’s Down the TBR Pile! Were there any books here that you’ve read and liked? Or are they on your never-ending TBR pile as well? If you have any thoughts about this week’s Down the TBR Pile, feel free to leave a comment in the section below. Take care, everyone! And keep reading! 😉

Down the TBR Hole

Hi, everyone! I thought I’d give this meme a try! It’s called Down the TBR Hole and it is hosted by Lia @ Lost in a Story. This meme is dedicated to uncluttering your TBR pile, going through each book and choosing which one should stay or go. I know that there are some book on my TBR pile that I’m never going to get to, so this tag is a nice solution to my never-ending TBR pile! So, here goes nothing!

The books:

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

25494343

I don’t think I can return to the world of Shadowhunters and invest myself in another series. I’ve had my fun with the first two series, although The Mortal Instruments did drag on for a bit too long…

The verdict: Go

Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

7664334

Time and time again I’ve been meaning to read it, but I never get to… However, the premise sounds really good and everyone I know seems to rave about, so I’ll give it another go!

The verdict: Keep

Until the Beginning by Amy Plum

until-the-beginning.jpg

The sad thing about this book is that I really wanted to read it once I was done After the End. But now so much time has passed, I’m not sure if I’m even invested in the story anymore. But I can’t seem to let it go…

The verdict: Keep

Tonight the Streets are Ours by Leila Sales

tonight-the-streets-are-ours.jpg

Well, the only reason I wanted to read this book was because it was by Leila Sales, author of This Song Will Save Your Life. That and the nice cover! Other than that,  I don’t feel as attached to it.

The verdict: Go

A School for Unusual Girls by Kathleen Baldwin

a-school-for-unusual-girls.jpg

I remember liking the premise before, but I’m not really into Historical Fiction at the moment, so I don’t think I’ll read it anytime soon…

The Verdict: Go

So what did you think? Were there any books you’ve seen here that you’ve read or given up on? If you have any thoughts about Down the TBR Hole, feel free to leave them in the Comments Section below. Thanks for reading!
