#ARCstravaganza: As You Wish

Hi, fellow bloggers and lovely readers! I’m back with a weekly post of #ARCstravaganza! Here’s a little more on #ARCstravaganza for those of you who are unfamiliar with it:

#ARCstravaganza is a weekly meme hosted by YA and Wine to give book bloggers/bookstagrammers a chance to show off their ARCs/eARCs that they are most excited about! Remember to comment on their weekly posts with a link to your own #ARCstravaganza blog post, or post a picture on Instagram using the #ARCstravaganza hashtag, and you will be entered to win an ARC copy of an upcoming YA novel! One winner will be chosen at random each month.

Today’s ARC of the week is As You Wish by Chelsea Sedoti. I got it from NetGalley a while ago, and have been eager to read it since I first heard about it. The premise just makes it sounds super interesting! Plus, I think I have a thing for contemporary books with a little bit of paranormal mixed in. 😉

What if you could ask for anything- and get it?

In the sandy Mojave Desert, Madison is a small town on the road between nothing and nowhere. But Eldon wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, because in Madison, everyone gets one wish—and that wish always comes true.

Some people wish for money, some people wish for love, but Eldon has seen how wishes have broken the people around him. And with the lives of his family and friends in chaos, he’s left with more questions than answers. Can he make their lives better? How can he be happy if the people around him aren’t? And what hope is there for any of them if happiness isn’t an achievable dream? Doubts build, leading Eldon to a more outlandish and scary thought: maybe you can’t wish for happiness…maybe, just maybe, you have to make it for yourself.
