Hello, everybody. It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for Which Cover Wednesday. Which Cover Wednesday is a meme I host where I show two different covers of the same book and choose which one is better (in my opinion). Feel free to give your opinions on the books as well, in the comments section below! Well, here are this week’s covers:
1. The Siren by Kiera Cass
or
Starting January, there will be a new cover for The Siren, a book that was actually published a few years ago. Anyway, I like the second cover for The Siren because it looks more brighter and lively than the overall grey of the older cover.
2. Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston (English and Portuguese)
or
While I love the first cover, the second one has caught my eye by mashing city life with a natural environment more associated with the fairies. So in all fairness, I would go with the second cover, since it’s more related to the story.
3. The Selection by Kiera Cass (English and Indonesian)
or
First cover all the way. To be honest, there’s nothing wrong with the second cover, design-wise; it’s actually pretty well drawn out. It’s just that it seems unsuited towards a YA audience and more like a cover for an MG novel.
4. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
or
While I haven’t read this yet (looking forward to it) and both covers are similar, I like the second one a bit more than the first. It’s just that the title font, background of a wave and different outfit appeal to me more. That’s not to say that the first cover isn’t amazing, because it is! 😀 But in this case, I would choose the second cover.
That’s all for today. I hope you enjoyed reading the last Which Cover Wednesday of the year. Sorry there couldn’t be more this year, but there’s always the next! 😉 Have a nice night, everyone!
