Hello, lovely readers! It’s that time of week again: Which Cover Wednesday! Which Cover Wednesday is a meme I host where I compare two different covers of the same book and give my opinion on which does it better. And you can join in on the fun as well, by commenting about these covers in the Comments Section below. Here are this week’s covers:
1. Lucy and Linh by Alice Pung
In this case, I like the first cover better. Even though they are similar in cover design, I like how the second one adds the full outfit instead of the first one only using the skirt. It gives you more of an idea that this is about private school.
2. Smart Girls Get What They Want by Sarah Strohmeyer
Love that second cover! It just has this fanciful feel to it that the first book doesn’t, with the girl mid-jump into someone’s arms… as well as the fact that there’s more going on with the background and placement of typography (like how it’s more compact as well as the colour scheme)! 😀
3. All the Feels by Danika Stone
First cover all the way! It’s just has a lot more colour and fun than the second cover (, with all the kinds of buttons as well as the action figure and Dragon Con poster! 😉
4. The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
Finally, some love for the first cover! 🙂 It just makes things look a bit more challenging with walking all those dogs, which makes seem a bit more active than the second one. Also, the typography of the first cover is more readable than the second cover, due to the title text matching the background…
That’s it for this week’s Which Cover Wednesday. What covers did you like? If you have any comments or questions, feel free to leave them below. Thanks for reading!
