Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted byย The Broke and the Bookish

Hey, everyone! How have you been? It seems like a long time since I’ve last posted…. and now it’s Tuesday again, which means Top Ten Tuesday! ๐Ÿ˜€ This Top Ten is about the second half of 2016 and the books we’re excited for. Let me tell you, I don’t think I’m as excited for any releases in the second half of the year. Sure, I have some books that I know I’m going to buy, but to be honest, compared to the first half of the year, my anticipated reads for the second half isn’t much…ย So my Top Ten won’t really be a Top Ten, but a Top Seven. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Well, here are the books:

1. Harry Potter and Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling

Cannot wait for this! Already had it preordered a while ago! ๐Ÿ˜‰

2. P.S. I Like You by Kasie West

The premise seems really sweet! ๐Ÿ™‚

3. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Need to read the fourth book still, but other than that… ๐Ÿ˜€

4. Something in Between by Melissa De La Cruz

I want this! ๐Ÿ™‚

5. My Unscripted Life by Lauren Morrill

Love any books focusing on the entertainment industry!

6. Midnight Hour by C.C. Hunter

The last book of the series! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

7. The Sun is Also a Star by Nicole Yoon

After Everything, Everything…. I’d love to read more by Nicola Yoon!

That’s my list! Are any of these books onย your TTT? What other books are on your TTT this week? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below. Just leave your TTT in the Comments Section, so that I can check them out! Thanks for reading, everyone!

Top Ten Tuesday: Book to Film Adaptations

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted byย The Broke and the Bookish

Hello again! Sorry for being absent for the last Top Ten Tuesday. But I’m back on track, with this week’s Top Ten Tuesday! The topic of the week is about those book to film adaptations, which I kind of have a love-hate relationship with. Well, more of a hate relationship, since I’m mostly horrified by what’s on the screen later on. Still, it doesn’t stop me from anticipating other film adaptations, and hoping for the best. These are the ones I’m looking forward to:

10. Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll

The trailer for the sequel looks good, so far…

9. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I haven’t actually read this (yet), but I’m already interested to see how it would look on the big screen.

8. Room by Emma Donoghue

The trailer made me cry. And want to see the whole movie.

7. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

I hope the tv series Shadowhunters does a good job of adapting the books, unlike the movie…

6. The Selection by Kiera Cass

Third time’s the charm! Or maybe this is fourth time it’s been picked up, but I can’t really remember… :/

5. Obsidian by J.L. Armentrout

Finally! ๐Ÿ˜€

4. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith

The trailer made me want to see it right away!

3. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

I’m so excited for this one; I have such positive feelings about this series!

2. Shadow Falls series by C.C. Hunter

This is actually going to be a web series. Can’t wait until the actors are confirmed! ๐Ÿ˜‰

1. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by J.K. Rowling

I literally fangirled when I saw the pictures of it that recently came out. Imagine what would happen if I saw the trailer? ๐Ÿ™‚

So those are my Top Ten. Are any of them similar to yours? What adaptations are you looking forward to? Feel free to leave comments behind; I would love to hear from you! Thanks for reading!

The Harry Potter Book Tag

Hi! I’ve been putting this off for a long time, but now, I’m finally going to do it! The Harry Potter Book Tag! Thank youย a novel glimpseย for tagging me! ๐Ÿ˜€ Now, let’s get started!

1. Favourite Book

Harry Potte and the Half-Blood Prince. Mainly because this was the one book I’ve reread over and over again while remember the whole plot. Usually, when I reread a book, it’s because I liked it but have forgotten some of the details. I think that’s a testament to how great it was.

2. Favourite movie

I honestly don’t have a favourite movie. I love them all!

3. Least favourite book

I guess that would be Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, due to the fake professor, the whisperings and gossip about Harry and the fact that Ginny was portrayed in such an unflattering way.

4. Parts of the book/movie that made you cry

A really sad part for me was when Sirius died, especially since that moment was brought up again in the later books.

5. Favourite character

Hermione Granger, my favourite bookworm! ๐Ÿ˜€

6. What would your patrons be?

Probably something like a jaguar or cheetah…

7. If you could have the Resurrection Stone, the Elder Wand, or the Invisibility Cloak, which one would you choose?

Well, I would chooseย the Invisibility Cloak, since I can’t find the Stone or the Wand… ๐Ÿ˜›

8. What house would you be in?

According to the test, I’m a Ravenclaw! Yay!

9. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?

It sounds like a cop-out, but I’d say none. I just don’t have the need to go see a specific member of the cast, or else I would probably go crazy and see them all. ๐Ÿ˜‰

10. If you were on a Quidditch team, which position would you play?

Being a chaser sounds like something I would do…

11. Were you happy with the ending?

As a book series, it’s actually one of the only endings I’m happy with.

12. How much does Harry Potter mean to you?

Well, it’s one of the first books I’ve read that my teacher didn’t assign. It got me to compare books to it and I also think that it has great movie adaptations. And the Harry Potter books were the gateway to fantasy reading, loving everything from Percy Jackson to Shadow Falls. From that, I think it means a lot to me.

I tag…

You! Yes, you, the reader! If you have done it before or aren’t interested, feel free to ignore it! Thanks for reading!
