Hey, everyone! It’s Monday again, which means I’m back with another “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?” post, hosted by Kathryn @ Book Date. Unfortunately, it was a really slow week for me, reading-wise. Hopefully. it picks up, but my reading goals for this week kind of reflect that lull of last week… 😉

Well, that’s my reading list for this week! What are you all reading at the moment? I’d love to hear about it in the Comments Section below! Thanks for reading, everyone!

Well, I read recently “Words in Deep Blue” by Cath Crowley and I am currently reading “The Chaos of Standing Still” by Jessica Brody and I am planning on reading either “Frostblood” by Elly Blake or “Long May She Reign” by Rhiannon Thomas.

OMG! I read Words in Deep Blue a while ago and loved it! What did you think of it? And how are you finding The Chaos of Standing Still?

I really loved it!
The characters were very relatable and real 🙂
It’s amazing! I have about one hundred pages to go and then I’ll be done. But, then I’ll be sad that it’s over so, yeah 😄
Have you heard of The Lunar Chronicles?

They are, aren’t they? 🙂
That’s good to know! I’ve read another book of hers, In Some Other Life, and thought that was pretty good. I just haven’t had much time to dive into her other books yet! Hopefully, I get to read them in the future!
I’ve heard of The Lunar Chronicles and have read the first two books. Unfortunately, I never got around to finishing the rest of the series… Did you like it, though?

Yes, yes they are 🙂
This is my first book that I’ve read by her. I hope I get to read them as well!
Okay, I don’t mean to be rude, but… HOW COULD YOU NOT FINISH THE REST OF THE SERIES?
Sorry about that, haha 🙂
I was hooked by the second book.
Yes, I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. It’s my favorite series, if I’m being honest 🙂
I deal with Social Anxiety (self diagnosed. That’s what happens when you Google symptoms.) and depression (both of which nobody knows about), but I actually was able to go up to this girl at the library, hand her Cinder and told her to read it…it went well but after that, I thought “must have been in an alternate universe that day”😂

I hope to read some of her other books as well! At least the ones that are Contemporary (I’m on a bit of a Contemporary YA kick at the moment 😉 )
Don’t worry about being rude! It’s totally a legitimate question. I always think of going back, but I just have so many other books that I want to read at the moment, not to mention the future ones, that The Lunar Chronicles kind of just gets buried underneath all of them… I wish I could take a moment to read backlist books soon, though!
The power of books! Bringing people together and giving us a little more bravery at the same time! 🙂

I was and probably still am on one too😂😊
I’m going to read a fantasy/magical realism soon though.
I understand. But, if you do get a chance you should finish the series 🙂
Question: do you have a Samsung or iphone?

Is that where Frostblood and Long May She Reign come in? 😉
Will do!
I have an iPhone! Which one do you have?

Yes, yes it is😆😂
Which one should I start? Or I was thinking of Caraval too…
Samsung. Will you look on the app store and see if you can download something called “Litsy”?

I’m not sure. If you like good world building, try Caraval, but I can’t really give an opinion on the other two since I haven’t read them yet… Maybe Frostblood?
I can do that! It’s that app that’s kind of like Goodreads, right?

Yay!
I started Frostblood today.
I’m only 22 pages in, so I’m still deciding how I feel about it.
Have you heard of the author Mechthild Glaser? I read her first book to be translated into English last year (The Book Jumper) was really good 🙂

Is it an autobiography or a work of fiction drawn from the author’s experiences?

I couldn’t believe it when I read it so I asked her and she tells me it is all true. – and I thought I’d had a tough life!
