Hey there, everybody! It’s time for another #ARCstravaganza post, hosted by the wonderful YA and Wine! If you’re unfamiliar with this feature, here’s a little synopsis for you:
#ARCstravaganza is a weekly meme hosted by YA and Wine to give book bloggers/bookstagrammers a chance to show off their ARCs/eARCs that they are most excited about! Remember to comment on their weekly posts with a link to your own #ARCstravaganza blog post, or post a picture on Instagram using the #ARCstravaganza hashtag, and you will be entered to win an ARC copy of an upcoming YA novel! One winner will be chosen at random each month.
Today’s ARC of interest is When I Cast Your Shadow by Sarah Porter. I’ll admit, I wanted to read this book to see if I could broaden my horizons and read different genres. It seems like it has potential! 😉
Summary
A teenage girl calls her beloved older brother back from the grave with disastrous consequences.
Dashiell Bohnacker was hell on his family while he was alive. But it’s even worse now that he’s dead….
After her troubled older brother, Dashiell, dies of an overdose, sixteen-year-old Ruby is overcome by grief and longing. What she doesn’t know is that Dashiell’s ghost is using her nightly dreams of him as a way to possess her body and to persuade her twin brother, Everett, to submit to possession as well.
Dashiell tells Everett that he’s returned from the Land of the Dead to tie up loose ends, but he’s actually on the run from forces crueler and more powerful than anything the Bohnacker twins have ever imagined….

I haven’t heard of this one before. It does sound intriguing but not really my style, I don’t think. You’ll have to let me know what you think after you read it though. 🙂 I am currently excited about Little Monsters, which I’m going to be starting tonight!

I am having fun reading it actually. If you are at all into Pretty Little Liars or YA mystery/thriller novels, this is definitely one for the TBR pile.
