Top Ten Tuesday is hosted byΒ The Broke and the Bookish

Hi everyone! It’s been a long week and it’s only Tuesday! πŸ˜› But speaking of, it’s Top Ten Tuesday! This week, it’s all about Halloween, seeing as it’s this Saturday. The topic is kind of a freebie related to Halloween themes, so I’m going to go with a supernatural creature: the vampire. I know this supernatural being is a bit outdated in popular lit (because there’s only so much vampire books you can read), but it still had an impact on YA, and so I’m going to mention ten books that have vampires in them:

1. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

Just about everyone and their grandmother knows about this book.

2. The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening by L. J. Smith

Most people know about this from the TV series.

3. Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz

It’s like vampires plus Gossip Girl.

4. Reborn by C.C. Hunter

Della leads a double life by being a vampire at her boarding school while her family lives in ignorance of her secret.

5. Carry On: The Rise and Fall of Simon Snow by Rainbow Rowell

Oh, Baz! *sigh*

6. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Vampires have magical powers. That’s right! πŸ™‚

7. Sucks to Be Me by Kimberly Pauly

Teaches you how to be a proper vampire. πŸ˜‰

8. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Vampires are living as second class citizens, thanks to Shadowhunters.

9. Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow

Where a girl realizes that she’s one of the few female vampires left…

10. Almost to Die For by Tate Halloway

Vampires and witches duking it out! πŸ˜€

That’s my Top Ten for this week! Any that are similar to yours? If so, I’d love to hear about it in the comments section below! Until next time…
