Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
Hello everyone! It’s Tuesday and that means Top Ten Tuesday! This week’s Top Ten features those series you have yet to finish, whether you want to or not. And my Top Ten are:
10.The Delirium series
I just couldn’t read Pandemonium. I just couldn’t…
9. The Iron Fey series
I finished the books in Meghan’s POV, but still haven’t touched the second book in Ethan’s POV. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go back to it soon.
8.The Divergent series
Never going to finish it after what everyone has told me. To be honest, I received the book around the time it was released but didn’t make time to read it on account of not liking it. So I’m really glad that happened! 😉
7. The Hunger Games series
Yeah, yeah. It’s kind of weird that I didn’t finish it. But that’s really my fault, since I read the synopsis after waiting a long time for the book. Basically, I ruined it for myself and cannot continue to finish the series because of this.
6. The Shadowhunter Academy series
This is one series I can’t wait to finish!
5. Throne of Glass series
Why do I keep on using this series in almost every Top Ten?:/ Anyways, super excited about it!
4. ACOTAR series
Thank God it’s a trilogy and not six books! 😀
3. The Young Elites series
I don’t think I’m going back to that one seeing as Adeline basically turns evil, at least from what I can tell…
2. The Selection series
Just when we thought it all ended with the third one, they bring in two more! 😐
1. The Night World series
If it’ll ever be finished, I’m reading it! 😉
So, that’s my Top Ten. To be fair, I probably can make up a list that includes more than ten series but these were the first ones that came to mind, so that has to mean something. Do you have any series that you’ve yet to finish, whether you want to or not? Comment about it below, or leave me a link to your Top Ten if you have one! Until next time…

They’re all written so well! Even The Young Elites, which I’m not so keen on returning to. 😉

I have a love/hate relationship with book series that seem to never end. Great list. Happy reading.

I’ve never met someone that’s not finished the hunger games! I’m kind of amazed. Great TTT

Is the Throne of Glass series complete?
Honestly, I wasn’t terribly impressed with Hunger Games or Divergent’s last books. They both felt a little rushed, perhaps.

Nope, it’s not complete and that’s the only reason I haven’t finished it! 😉
I get what you mean. That rushed feeling happens with conclusions to a series sometimes…

To be honest, sometimes I wish I hadn’t finished The Hunger Games… It took me two tries to read Pandemonium, but then I really liked it and ended up enjoying the remainder of the series.

I wonder how everyone is going to feel about it when watching it on the big screen. Will it make a difference?
I’m glad you persevered when reading Pandemonium; it shows me that it’s readable… 😛

I’m slightly looking forward to the last THG movie, mostly because I’m interested in seeing what they change.
It was an interesting look at a dystopian world, but I think I’m moving on from the YA dystopian series for a bit. 🙂

Ikr? Now that everyone’s getting on the YA dystopian train (not Divergent’s 😛 ), it’s starting to get a bit repetitive…

I had some fun times with the genre, but I’m into different things now. 🙂

I had the first two on my list too. I went way over ten so I started a list on goodreads.

It sounds cool until you see the number on the list. It’s at 64. And I’m pretty sure I’m still missing some. Lol

I’ve read a few of these and I agree with Pandemonium, it was a weird series, I finished it because I have a compulsion to finish anything I start. I wouldn’t suggest reading it to anyone. The Iron Fey makes me want to read it because the character has the same name as me, ha. Is it weird that I’ve always wanted to find a novel with a main character who has the same name as me, and spelt the same way too? Yeah I’m a bit odd haha 😛

No, it’s kind of cool. I remember when Aimee Carter was holding a contest/draw and the prize was to get a name you picked into her book, Pawn. I really wanted my name in the book (as a secondary character), and thought it would be really nice to read my name in a YA novel and point it out to everyone I know. So I get where you’re coming from. 😉

Everyone is talking about Throne of Glass! Should I read it?

My immediate answer would be “YES, YES, YES!”, because it’s one of my favourite series. I remember reading it while trying to study for Chemistry and I seriously couldn’t put it down after it was time to resume studying. I would say go for it, but if you aren’t into it, don’t force yourself to read it. 🙂
